ReplyDeleteDo you know anything about the statute of limitations on copyright for these images? Could someone use them in art that was to be sold?

I don't know much, but I'm pretty sure that anything originally published prior to 1923 is in the public domain. What this means, legally speaking, for whatever commercial enterprise you've got in mind, I couldn't say.
