A. Arnold "Buddy" Gillespie was a visual effects artist at MGM Studios from 1924 to 1965. In 1943 and '44 he was assigned as an animator on director
George Gordon's cartoons. (See prod. #s 103, 106, 108, and 113 at the link.)

And we have another appearance of the mysterious "
availability certificate." I've yet to find out exactly what this was. Maybe it was something issued by the studio when employees we re-assigned.
